At the IBL Institute we support the inquiry-based outdoor education of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). An engaging on-site field platform encourages students to immerse themselves, hands-on, in STEM methods to help support a richer understanding of scientific concepts.
We can customize every unit to offer an intuitive portable field platform that breaks down the barriers for outdoor learning. The unit can be equipped with a observation window, advanced battery power supply, 12 to 110 volt electricity, a lighting package, a weather station, solar panels, stainless steel sink, running water, microscope, first aid, and more depending on your needs.

The unit can be equipped with a portable awning, advanced battery power supply, 12 to 110 volt electricity, a lighting package, a weather station, solar panels, stainless steel sink, running water, microscope, first aid, and more depending on your need
Lighting System — The lighting package takes care of your interior and exterior lighting needs. The unit is equipped with four side mounted outdoor work lights and four front and rear emergency flashers. The lighting package is all set for off-the-grid use and is powered by the on-board Yeti battery system
Solar panel system — can be added to increase capacity in the field by charging your Yeti Portable Power Station. It includes a MERLIN Optimized Charge Controller for low-light and extreme weather conditions. Many options are available with the MERLIN that include live data tracking with GPS location.
Power Options – if power is needed in the field, the unit can be equipped with the standard all-weather shore power system and a Yeti Goal Zero 500 lithium battery that provides 12V and 110V when shore power is not available. Use the battery to power lights, water pump, and other custom equipment.
Custom Cabinetry – The unit can be customized with cabinetry, countertops and storage solutions. The custom cabinetry features a stainless-steel top to facilitate cleaning and sterilization for laboratory grade applications.
Wall storage – provides secure mounting for equiment suited to your applications, and the standard, stainless-steel sink and soap dispenser provdes an option for clean water.
Hotspot – built for life on the move so you can work, stream, and stay connected without stress or limitations. Multiple devises can be connected to input data in real-time to streamline the process.
Weather Station – This is an important feature for stormwater projects. Weather data can be accessed remotely.
Equipment Package – The equipment package includes securely mounted sledge hammer, pick-axe and shovel for field use.
Safety Package – The safety package includes fire extinguisher, first aid kit and roadside flares.

Go Anywhere – Conduct research, experiments and monitoring over extended periods of time in remote locations.
